Biography
Marco Orazio Vallone is an Italian conductor based in the Netherlands.
He is currently in the final year of the National Master in Orchestral Conducting at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, where he studies with Ed Spanjaard, Jac van Steen, and Antony Hermus.
Marco began his musical training as an oboist, studying at the Conservatory of Menton, France, with François Meyer, and later at the Rainier III Academy in Monaco-Monte-Carlo. He further refined his instrumental studies privately with Nicola Patrussi.
Alongside his instrumental path, he developed a strong interest in composition and conducting, which soon shaped the core of his artistic identity.
In 2024, he graduated in Orchestral Conducting at the “Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan, where he studied with Vittorio Parisi. He has taken part in masterclasses with leading conductors such as Lorenzo Viotti, Richard Egarr, Tianyi Lu, Francesco Lanzillotta, and Otto Tausk, and has served as assistant conductor with several orchestras, including the Residentie Orkest, Dutch National Ballet Orchestra, Belgian National Symphony Orchestra, and Noord Nederlands Orkest.
In 2022, he was awarded the title of “Young Excellence of Western Liguria” by the Lions Club. In 2023, he was selected by the Milan Conservatory to conduct Viktor Ullmann’s "Der Kaiser von Atlantis", and received a special mention at the Alceo Galliera International Conducting Competition.
One year later he was again selected by the Milan Conservatory to perform “Professor Bad Trip” by Fausto Romitelli in collaboration with Milano Musica Festival.
